Faro, September 24, 2011: Astro Empires has launched Ares, its first round-based speed server. This is the first game server which ends and resets after a specific period of time (one month in this case) and has increased game speed (3x). The creators of Astro Empires, Cybertopia Studios, expect this new type of server to be highly competitive and fun and a welcome complement to the traditional persistent servers.

Prizes will be awarded to the top 5 players in 5 different categories (level, economy, fleet, technology and combat experience) when the round closes at October 24 at the same hour, consisting in free upgrades to be used on traditional servers. The winners will also be eligible to join the next round for free. Those who weren't able to join this first round will have the chance to join the next one.
